Ards Friary Coastal Walk
The Ards Friary Coastal Walk is a beautiful 1.25 km walk along the banks of Sheephaven Bay. Along the trail, there are fantastic views out over the bay to Doe Castle, the Boardwalk Resort and over to the seaside town of Downings. The walk continues out to Sheephaven Bay Lookout and on to the stunning Binnagorm Beach.
From the far end of Binnagorm Beach, you can access the Binngorm Trail in the Ards Forest Park. If you are lucky you may see some of the seals that frequent the bay swimming close by.
There are parking and toilet facilities at the start of the walk at Ards Friary. The friary is a retreat and conference centre, you can visit the website here.
