Ballymanus Monument walk

This Ballymanus Monument walk is a short 0.5 km walk from the car park at Mullaghderg Beach out to the Ballymanus Monument. The monument was erected in memory of an accident which happened on the 10th of May 1945 where a mine washed ashore and as a crowd gathered the mine exploded killing nineteen men and boys, aged between 14 and 33, who lived in the area.
