Bay Road Park
The Bay Road Park is a local nature reserve, it is a 20-hectare former landfill site that is located on the banks of the River Foyle and it is only a short walk from here to the city centre.
The park has a wide range of habitats including woodland, grassland, salt marsh and mudflats. These habitats support a wide range of species, with a significant population of wading and wintering birds. Look out for otters, bats, butterflies and orchids.
