Bernie is a Fashion Designer from Buncrana, Co. Donegal, Ireland. She interprets Donegal Tweed in a unique, individual way and promises that her collections are Irish Made. A former garment technologist in the manufacturing industry. She creates her current contemporary fashion designs using Donegal Tweeds.

Bernie likes to manipulate fabrics to create interesting compositional arrangements which capture the creative functionality of traditional Irish tweeds within her fashion design.

Bernie’s collections are designed to be worn or to be displayed, but always to be enjoyed. My aim is to capture in my textile art suggestions of the natural environment that surrounds me – its unpredictable beauty and spirit – and reflect elements of the textiles and design skills that have been handed down across the generations in this unique region, my homeland of Donegal.
