Buncrana River Walk
The Buncrana River Walk is a lovely short walk of approximately 0.6 km following the river Owenkillew.
It starts at a small bridge close to the police station. You walk down some small steep steps down from the bridge, these steps can be slippy so be careful when going down them. At the bottom of the steps, you get a great view of the water crashing down the rocks.
The walk continues down past an old abandoned mill and bridge, where it forks with the main path going to the left into a housing estate and then it comes out at the Tourist Information Center on the Derry Road and the Amazing Grace Park.
The other unofficial route passed Buncrana GAA pitch extends the walk down the slow-moving part of the river coming out around the corner at the GAA clubhouse, where you then can either turn round and go back the way you came or go through the grounds of Buncrana GAA up to the Derry Road.
