Butler's Glen - 10.5 km - hard

Butler’s Glen Loop

Butler’s Glen Loop starts from the car park at the Mamore Gap viewing point, with its magnificent views over Urris and the Atlantic ocean.

Markers for this route are purple arrows on a white background. The route is a round trip of 10.5 km and should take around 2 -3 hours to complete.

You walk up from the car park to the top of Butlers Glen then walk along the ridge on the right-hand side, which once you get to the end will give you spectacular views over Tullagh Bay.

It is then a steep walk down to the bog road which will take you back up the glen and then follow your original walk back to the car park at the Mamore Gap.

This is a hard strenuous walk and you should wear appropriate all-weather hill walking clothing and footwear. You should also have a high fitness level and check the weather forecast before starting your walk.
