Cnoc an Uininn to Lough Fad walk
If you have stopped off at the Cnoc an Uininn viewpoint and Spitfire Memorial then you should not miss this little walk to the tranquil Lough Fad. The walk is only 1.5 km long (3 km return ) and is on a bog road for the whole way. you get fantastic views all around and it is so quiet with only the wind for company.
you will find the road for the walk at the back of the car park for the viewpoint on the right-hand side.
Once there and you would like to walk further you can walk around the right-hand side of the Lough, which after 200 -300 m will take you onto a bog road on the opposite side of the Lough. From there you can walk further into the surrounding hills.
Game fishing with a license is allowed on Lough Fad.
