The Old Carn Road Drovers Trail
This is a new waymarked trail that takes you through the scenic hills of central Inishowen. Although not yet Finished it is still 4km each way and is suitable for mountain bikes. The route takes you through the hills with Slieve Snaght ( Inishowen’s highest mountain ) on your right and the King and Queen of the Mintiaghs on the left.
Then from the centre turn right and head towards Carndonagh where you will see a sign pointing up a side road. Take this and you will come to a farm gate which you go through (make sure and shut all gates ) once through the gate. then the route goes straight on for 4km.
The first km of The Old Carn Road Drovers Trail follows the same route if you are walking up Slieve Snaght.
