The woods are only a short walk from the historic heritage town of Ramelton. The town dates back to the early 17th century and had a thriving linen industry trading throughout the world.

It provides a pleasant walk through both coniferous and broadleaf plantations and along the way you will find seats and picnic tables strategically placed at several viewing points.
