Profile
Port Bán – Dunree Bay
The beach is an absolutely stunning horseshoe-shaped bay set between Fort Dunree on the hill to the south and the Urris hills to the north.
There is a small car park close to the junction for the fort with a memorial to a WW2 plane that crashed in the area. To get to the beach you need to go down from the road on a sandy path between the dunes. But once you are there you will find a fantastic and sheltered beach.
If you are lucky you may even catch a glimpse of some Harbour Porpoises and Bottle Nosed Dolphins.

Reviews
“Beautiful beach with amazing views. So peaceful and tranquil there was only 2 people there when we arrived. Parking is just on the road then a little walk to the beach.” Trish August 16, 2020
“There’s a wealth of golden beaches in this lovely part of Ireland. Get some comfortable shoes on and get out there and explore the area. You won’t be disappointed.” Lambretta August 30, 2018
