Lough Gartan Walks
Three fantastic scenic walks around the stunningly scenic Lough Gartan. All the walks start from the car park beside Wilkins bar in Church Hill. the walks range from 5 km to 14.5 km long.
Walk 1 – red trail – The Gartan Estate Walk is the shortest walk which follows a small bit of the lough around by The Gartan Outdoor Centre.
Walk 2 – blue trail – The Quartet Walk this long 14.5 km walk goes all the way around the beautiful lough on minor roads.
Walk 3 – orange trail – This walk is a linear route at 3.5 km each way and takes you up to St Colmcille’s Birthplace. From this point, there is an 8km walk over the Lough Inshagh Trail to Glenveigh Castle.
