Newtowncunningham Presbyterian Church

Newtowncunningham Presbyterian Church is a detached five-bay Presbyterian Church meeting house, dating from around 1881. It retains its original character and form and is an appealing feature in the village to the west end of Newtowncunningham.

A congregation was attempted in 1792 by the Presbyterian community in the village, but it failed. Then a meeting house was erected in 1813 and in 1830 official permission was granted to start a congregation in the village.
