The beach at Inishowen Head is a small beautiful blue flag beach not far from the village of Greencastle and is right beside the famous Lighthouse.
There are lifeguards protecting the beach during the summer months. There are picnic tables and quite often you will find the Great horsebox wagon selling teas and coffees at the car park as well. You will also find toilet facilities in the car park.
From here you can also start the 8km Inishowen Head loop Walk which takes you up around the headland and has some fantastic views. It is also very close to the village of Greencastle where you will find the Inishowen Maritime Museum and the Lough Foyle Ferry
