St Colmcille Birthplace
The Birthplace of St Colmcille can be found overlooking Lough Gartan in Donegal. A large Celtic cross, which was erected in 1911 stands at the site as well as some ruins of an old house and a plaque.
You will find a small car park beside the spot and here you will find an 8km walk which will take you up over the hills to Glenveigh Castle.
