St Conall’s Walk
The St Conall’s Walk is a 24 km walk that starts just outside Ardara and takes in some of the best sights in the area including the Assaranca Waterfall, Maghera Beach and Caves and the Glengesh Pass.
The walk follows minor roads and starts with a gentle walk along the banks of Loughros Beg Bay past the Assaranca Waterfall and onto Maghera where you can see a lovely beach and caves ( only viewable at low tide). It then follows the road up into the mountains and across to the viewpoint at the top of the Glengesh Pass before returning down the valley to the starting point.
The route can be extended to a 65 km multi-day trip by following the Slí Cholmcille Waymarked Trail.
