The Temple of Deen

The Temple of Deen which is also known as Druids Altar is located just outside Culdaff on the road to Gleneely. It is very close to the Bocan Stone Circle. You can easily visit them both at the same time.

This site is a court tomb dating from between 2000 BC to 1500 BC. The tomb has an outside courtyard and two inner chambers for the remains of the dead.

Directions

Park at St. Mary’s Church outside Culdaff and walk up the hill approximately 1 km you pass a road on the left takes you to The Bocan Stone Circle.

After another 200 m or so you will see a farm road on your left which goes past some houses take and go about 200 meters more, there is a turnstile beside a gate on the farm road go through it and you will see The Temple on top of the hill.
