The Meenavogey Trail

You will find this 3km Trail on the Mountain Road between Buncrana and Carndonagh in Inishowen. There is an 8-space car park at the start of the trail and the trail takes you on a route through the upper boglands between the two towns. The trail also called “The Marshy Mountain Meadow Trail” is a fairly flat walk with beautiful views over Slieve Snacht and the Urris Hills.

The Meenavogey Trail was created by the North West Community Development -NWCD. A community group that is developing an extensive network of walking and cycling trails linking towns and villages across the Inishowen peninsula. You can go to their Facebook page here.
