Buncrana Duathlon

The Annual Buncrana Duathlon takes place on Sunday 5th April The course will consist of a 3.2km Run, 16.8km Cycle and finishing with a 3.24km run. Its a fast course and a fantastic race to get the season started.

Start on the main road outside the Sports Complex, approx 600 m up that road you will be directed onto the footpath and turn right along the coast road. You will pass the Gateway Hotel (right-hand side of the road) and the Fire Station (left-hand side of the road) and head to the round-a-bout (staying on the footpath). Approx 1 km out the Coast Road you will be directed into a car park (at the Derry end) and exit at the bottom of the same car park (at the Buncrana end). Follow the same route back to transition staying on the footpath. Close to transition you will be directed around the grass verge to the transition entrance where you will pick up your bike and head out on the cycle course.
