The Steinbeck Festival 2023
The Steinbeck Festival of Literature, Music & Film will be held at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre in Limavady in March. The Festival celebrates the important connection the author, who wrote ‘Of Mice and Men’, ‘The Grapes of Wrath’ and ‘East of Eden’Â had with Ballykelly & the local area.

- Jan, Charley the Dog we will begin our search for ‘Charley the Dog’ who will be our Steinbeck Festival mascot.
- Feb 10th, Mark Carruthers in conversation with Martin O’Neill, OBE
- Feb 11th – Mar 25th, ‘The Steinbeck Connection’ Primary Schools Competition Exhibition.
- Feb 18th, Understanding Steinbeck.
- Feb 23rd, Ten x 9 presents The Journey.
- Feb 24th, American Blues singer Mirenda Rosenberg and band.
- Feb 25th – Mar 25th, Steinbeck Dustbowl Photo Exhibition: The Journey.
- Feb 27th, The Book Club discusses Travels with Charley at Cafe Piazza.
