Fintown is situated in a scenic valley beside Lough Finn and is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, including nearby mountains and Lough Finn, a popular fishing and boating spot.
The village is also home to a narrow-gauge railway that runs along the shores of the Lough and is a popular tourist attraction. It is also on the route of the long-distance Slà Na Finne walking trail.
