Profile
Malin
Malin is a small picturesque little town built around a central triangle-shaped village green, with a population of just 92 in 2016. The village sits just north of Carandonagh and five finger strand beach is not far away to the north.
It is situated on the banks of Trawreaga Bay which is itself a specially protected area and its features of interest include: the barnacle goose, the light-bellied Brent goose, the chough and diverse wetland and water birds. On the outskirts of the village across the old 10 arch stone bridge, the second largest in Ireland, there is a bird hide.
The village won the Irish Tidy Towns Competition in 1970 and 1991.
You can get yourself a bite to eat at The Malin Town House.
