Ramelton
Ramelton is a beautiful and picturesque heritage town that sits on the banks of the Lennon River which flows into Lough Swilly. It lies approximately 12 km north of Letterkenny on the Fanad Peninsula.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, the town prospered as it was an important trading port with ships trading linen and other produce throughout the world.
The town is home to McDaid’s soft drinks manufacturer which makes the world-famous Football Special Soft Drink.
