Toraigh – Tory Island
Toraigh (Tory Island ) is Ireland’s most remote inhabited island that lies 14.5 km from the coast of mainland Donegal. You can get here by ferry from the Magheroarty pier. The ferry arrives at the main pier in West Town
The island is home to a large number of Corncake and also Puffins nest on the island for the breeding season starting in late March or early April each year. There is a lovely Slí Thorai walk which covers the whole island and is approx 8km long.
The island is home to one hotel called Óstán Thoraí and it also has a post office gallery and the An Club Toraigh.
