Kiltyclogher Heritage Centre & Sean MacDiarmada Homestead

The Kiltyclogher Heritage Centre hosts an exhibition dedicated to Seán MacDiarmada, one of the signatories of the 1916 Proclamation. This exhibition features an audio-visual facility and informative panels, offering visitors valuable insights into Seán MacDiarmada’s life and the local history of the area. The Centre is located in the Court House in the centre of Kiltyclogher, Co Leitrim.

Seán MacDiarmada’s family cottage is situated just a few kilometres outside the village in Corranmore and is a designated National Monument. The cottage holds immense historical significance. It stands as a well-preserved example of a traditional Irish cottage, providing a glimpse into the daily life of people a century ago.
