Wild Atlantic Shanty Festival
The Wild Atlantic Shanty Festival is an annual music festival held in the small coastal town of Rosses Point, located in County Sligo, Ireland. The festival takes place over a weekend in June and celebrates the rich maritime heritage of the region with a focus on sea shanties and traditional seafaring songs.
The festival takes place in various venues throughout Rosses Point, including pubs, hotels, and outdoor stages and offers a range of traditional music, with performances by local and international artists, as well as opportunities for visitors to join in with singing and dancing. In addition, to live music, the festival also offers workshops, talks, and other events related to maritime history and culture.
