Ros Harvey was brought up on the wild Inishowen peninsula in Co. Donegal, where the Atlantic breaks savagely against the coastline. Here Ros paints her most powerful images of high seas, waves, rocks and skies and carries out commissioned work.
She is a pastellist, and all the images on this site are painted with soft pastels.
Ros is an Academician of the Royal Ulster Academy and a Member of the Pastel Society of Ireland. She has held major one-man shows, been selected and nominated for awards in many juried exhibitions and has illustrated 8 books. Her paintings are included in many corporate collections, libraries, hospitals, waiting rooms and a fire station.
The main outlet for her work is from her own studio/gallery at Ballagh, Malin, Co.Donegal, but other work can be seen in The Kenny Gallery, Galway.
