Oaks Wood
Oaks Wood is a haven of biodiversity and natural beauty. As you step into the heart of the wood, you’re greeted by the rustling of leaves, the melodic calls of birds, the distant rush of water and a sense of calm that washes over you. The woodland is a lush tapestry of towering trees, meandering paths, and the delicate blooms of wildflowers.
The 26-acre park is one of several parks in the Faughan Valley Woodland and can be found between the villages of Drumahoe and Killaloo, 8km south-east of Derry. The woodlands are managed by the Woodlands Trust and you can go to their Facebook page here.
