Trails for Every Explorer
Whether you’re an avid hiker, a casual stroller, or a family with kids in tow, the Faughan Valley Woodlands have trails to suit every preference. Wander along well-marked paths that meander through ancient woodlands, revealing hidden clearings and bubbling streams. While wandering through the woodlands look out for all the wonderful sculptures that are scattered throughout.
There are a number of separate woods that make up the Faughan Valley Woodlands:-
- Oak Wood
- Red Brae Wood
- Brackfield Wood
- Burntollet Wood
- Killaloo Wood
- Odhran’s Wood
The Faughan Valley Woodlands also connects to Ervey Woods and the Ness Woods Country Park at the parking area for Burntollet Wood and offers over 70 hectares of park with 35km of walking trails. The woodlands are managed by the Woodlands Trust and you can go to their Facebook page here.
