Lettermacaward / Leitir Mhic an Bhaird
Lettermacaward is a small village in West Donegal and sits beside the Gweebarra River on the Road between Dungloe and Glenties. The bridge over the river was built in 1953 and it is 600 ft long and 30 ft wide.
The village is home to the Na Rossa GAA Club. Beside the main road just before the bridge, you will find a small shop and the Gweebarra Bar. Also on the road to Dooey Beach (5.6 km), you will find Elliot’s Bar, you can check out the bar’s Facebook page here.
