Carndonagh Heritage Walk
The Carndonagh Heritage Walk consists of two lovely little heritage walks in the town. Both walks start at the Captain Crawford Blue Plaque at the Diamond in the centre of town.
There are twelve points of historical and heritage interest on the two walks, eight on the purple route and four on the green route.
The Purple route is 1.4 km long and should take between 20 -40 min to go round and includes the St Patrick’s Cross.
The Green route is 2.0 km long and should take about 45 -60 min and includes the majestic Church of the Sacred Heart.
Both trails are easy and are suitable for family groups including children and the elderly.
If you would like something to eat after visiting the park you could go to The Butterbean Restaurant in the diamond.
