This walk takes you from the St. Eigne’s Well car park on the Marmore Gap up to the summit of Croaghcarragh. It offers stunning views over Inishowen, Lough Swilly and over to the Fannad Peninsula and beyond.
you can park beside the well and then walk about 50 m down the road where you will find the track into the hills on your left-hand side. You can also park a little bit further down the road in the main car park for the Mamore Gap WAW discovery point and walk up the hill to the path.
The first half of the walk follows a farm track high into the hills for about 1km. After that, you follow the track used by other walkers to the top. This is a relatively short walk and you reach the first peak after about 1.3 km and the main peak of Croaghcarragh after 2km.
