The Craignahorna Trail
The Craignahorna Trail is a 5km route, known as “The Rock of Barley Trail” and is located along the Mountain Road between Buncrana and Carndonagh in Inishowen. Positioned approximately 1.5 km from the beginning of the Meenavogey Trail, there is parking space available for a couple of cars at the trailhead. The Rock of Barley Trail follows a serene country lane and seamlessly connects to the end of the Meenavogey Trail, enabling an enjoyable 10km looped walk or cycle by utilizing both trails.
The Trail was created by the North West Community Development -NWCD. A community group that is developing an extensive network of walking and cycling trails linking towns and villages across the Inishowen peninsula. You can go to their Facebook page here.
